The monumental beauty created by Pavel Koychev
The encounters with Pavel Koychev's art and personality are extremely impressive and memorable. Not only because of the monumentality of many of his works,
but because they radiate lightness, compassion, depth, eternity...
In 2019 in Sofia the artist opened an exhibition called "The Garden of Grass", where the focus was on giant 8-meter figures of Adam and Eve made of styrofoam. With a sense of humour, the author then said that he made them so big that they could not fit in the spaceship that would one day carry earthlings into space but stay here on Earth where the Creator had made them.
Since then, the two figures, painted red and blue, have been lounging in the garden on the grass by one of the lakes at Zornitza Family Estate Relais & Châteaux. For the joy of young and old, for mood and admiration of beauty.
In 2024, the 40th edition of the Apollonia Arts Festival in Sozopol was also decorated by two tall figures of a man and a woman – She and He. The figures are made of styrofoam dressed in polyester resin. The colour is metallic silver.
Their author Pavel Koychev is especially pleased because the picture is exactly as he imagined it – behind the 4-meter pair are the masts, the sea, the blue infinity. A few months after Apollonia, She and He are now part of another beautiful seascape – at BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas.
